Not very hard, we have been trained. The training can be hard, I’m not going to lie. But the actual job isn’t. We have got to think outside the box sometimes and have some problems to solve that may seem hard, but with our training we over come them. It’s what makes the job enjoyable.

Like Rich said, if you have the training and the knowledge it isn’t hard but this is the same for any career. I do however, find hard some of the mathematics and learning the knowledge as it’s a big step from GCSE level. (i’m currently undertaking an apprenticeship while doing a BTEC in Construction and Built Environment) Once you get the hang of things, its fairly simple. The hardest part is trying to find solutions to a problem which you may of never come across before.

The process of becoming an engineer isn’t as hard as some people tell it to be. Engineering is a huge learning curve, that can be quite scary at first. But with the appropriate training and education provided, you soon start to get the hang of it. Engineering is a career where your always studying, to improve your knowledge about the job. At times it can get hard, but you just got to plough through it. Everyone struggles, but it is up to you how you address that problem. You can get through anything, if you put your mind to it!
