  Good Question…. I would definitely want to make the engineering world be seen by females as a career they can be involved in! Although the engineering industry has improved massively in regards to the amount of women working in it, I still feel more women should seek involvement. Engineering is an interesting and challenging career, which anyone can have a go at!

  very tough question that! I think some of the larger companies or what we call “professional bodies”, our equivalent of school governors, should approach schools before students decide on their GCSE lessons. The term Engineer is sooooooo broad or vast. There are millions of different types of engineers, I didn’t even know the industry I am in existed pre GCSEs. If a high level person from each key sector of engineering gave a presentation in schools it will help students decide what type of engineers they want to be and plan there lessons/paths to suit.
