Probably was the first time I ever got an independent work to complete. I had to level a slab of concrete which isn’t technical or overall exciting but it was my first ever experience of engineering work. I came across the problem of the concrete was going hard way before the levelling process was finished. This would be a massive issue as it would mean that the floor wouldn’t be flat, which isn’t great to walk on. I quickly thought of a way to level the slab before it set by using a different type of instrument. As it was my first ever experience of using my knowledge and skills, this was a big deal to myself as I actually succeed.
