• Question: What was it like when you did the Heathrow extension and why?

      It was very demanding.

      There are normal rules and standards which I have to adhere to to make sure my designs are safe and functional. When you start throwing airports into the mix, they come with their own set of standards which are extra to the ones I already have to follow, which can make things tricky.

      Also, in my line of work, Airports use/need an awful lot of power. Your house is probably 100 Amps tops, school probably uses 400 Amps. An airport will use thousands of Amps, which all needs to be controlled and balanced. You need your thinking cap on when doing one of those.
